Alchemy were appointed on a design & build contract to provide the overlay services for the European Aquatics Championships taking place at the London Aquatics Centre in May 2016. This was the largest aquatics competition to take place at the LAC since London 2012 and with the venue now legacy mode there were many challenges to be overcome. Alchemy provided a professional approach in supporting the LOC in overcoming these challenges and helped to deliver a great Championships. They coordinated all overlay contractors and in addition provided support to Broadcast and Sponsors with additional requirements they had. Alchemy ensured that the venue and the Park were happy with the level of provision which included the responsibility as Principal Contractor under CDM. The QEOP is a busy location and managing the build and derig in such a public space was a challenge but one that was successfully delivered. The team at Alchemy were positive, professional and easy to deal with.
