London 2012 Summer Olympic Games

The London 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games set new benchmarks for sustainability and legacy benefits arising from major sporting events.

In 2011, Alchemy acted as the Turnkey Main Contractor for LOCOG on a design & build basis for the Road Cycling Test Events. This involved acting as Principal Contractor under the UK’s CDM Regulations and the design, construction, maintenance and removal of all overlay at the SSSI and SAC Box Hill, Hampton Court Palace and multiple non-competition sites spread across the 140km route.

In 2012, in partnership with NUSSLI Group, Alchemy acted as Turnkey Main Contractor for LOCOG at the Box Hill, and Eton Manor Ceremonies sites. Alchemy also provided project management, construction management and consultancy for the Eton Manor Temporary Aquatics Training Facility, Basketball Training Venue and North Greenwich Arena.
