London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay Evening Celebrations

As an official partner of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay, Coca-Cola was charged with producing 61 evening concerts plus four special evening celebrations across 70 days.

Alchemy were appointed by producers Sports Vision to lead this major public event project and to undertake all aspects of project leadership, management, technical direction and construction management.

The project required an enormous amount of stakeholder and responsible authority liaison and the complete planning, design, procurement, construction and operation of temporary event sites for audiences of up to 80,000 people.

In recognition of the projects enormous complexities, public safety implications and intense media interest, Alchemy’s Ben Price was awarded the National Outdoor Events Association Event Organiser of the Year award.
